Finding a BIM company in Vietnam is easy. Finding one that reliably supports a live construction project is harder. Contractors evaluating a partner should look past company size, software lists and hourly rates, and focus on one question: can this team deliver the specific type of information your project needs? Start with MEP capability, not company size
Ask which disciplines the team can genuinely support — mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection each carry their own coordination requirements. A team that produces a clean architectural model isn't automatically equipped to coordinate a congested plant room or develop fabrication-level MEP detail.
Look at real project examples, not render galleries
A portfolio should show more than attractive 3D views. Ask for coordinated areas, shop drawings, sections, details, fabrication modelling and examples of issues actually being resolved. That tells you how the team works — not just how the finished model looks in a screenshot.
Understand their LOD approach before the contract, not after
LOD isn't a fixed number in a proposal — it depends on the purpose of the model. A design-coordination model and a fabrication-ready model require very different levels of geometry, connection detail and accessory information. A good partner discusses what the project actually needs rather than defaulting to a number that sounds impressive.
Ask how they handle clashes, not just whether they can
Do they simply flag conflicts, or help investigate and resolve them? Can they tell the difference between a hard clash, a clearance issue and a genuine construction constraint, across architecture, structure and multiple MEP trades at once? The answers reveal a lot more than a list of software licences ever will.

Hourly rate is easy to compare — total cost isn't
Factor in the cost of supervision, revisions, rework and coordination errors. A slightly higher rate is often more economical if it comes with a team that needs less oversight to hit the standard your project actually needs.
The client should not be the first person to discover a basic error. That's what a QA/QC process before delivery is for.
Start with a pilot, not a full engagement
We'd rather prove this on a real project area than a proposal. Give us the same drawings, standards and deadlines you'd give a larger engagement, and judge modelling quality, coordination, communication, turnaround and QA/QC from there.
